State officials are expected to use the money in a Mass Turnpike reserve fund to prevent the toll hikes that were expected to take effect March 29 at the Allston tolls and in the Ted Williams and Sumner tunnels, WBZTV reported today.The state officials told WBZ that they did not learn about the reserve fund until last night.
While there is another toll hike scheduled for July, state officials said they plan to seek alternative revenue sources to avoid that hike as well.
